Monotypes are one of a kind prints made by rag
or rice paper contact to a painting on a firm unabsorbent surface. The
results. like all other forms of original
printmaking, have characteristically unique
texture. Overprinting on the image with
additional registered layers is possible. Monoprints are monotypes that have a section
that is reprintable, usually made in a
traditional printing medium. This means a
motif can be taken and varied endlessly.
Chine colle, an ancient method to enrich the
printing paper with textured rice paper, is
used on
"Symphonic
Sky."
All sizes given are unframed, although framed
pieces can be shipped on availability by
communicating with me
by email, phone, or the
site’s guest book. Smaller monotypes and monoprints are $100.00 unframed, then progress
to $200.00, and $400.00 unframed
